Mr Richard Li, Executive Director of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, commented: “Prolight + Sound Guangzhou is a key pillar of our global professional AV and lighting portfolio. Through our strategic cooperation on PLSG, we want to leverage Messe Frankfurt's global industry business network to help international technologies, products and brands gain access to the Chinese market, while giving high-quality Chinese products key access to markets overseas. In the long run, this collaboration will strengthen the show's appeal to international exhibitors and buyers, facilitate the exchange of ideas, encourage closer cooperation across the industry and ultimately contribute to the continued development of the sector in China.”
In 2025, China's culture and related industries posted record revenue, up 8.8% year on year, contributing to continued growth in the country’s entertainment equipment market. CETA is a leading national association in this sector, with nearly 3,000 member companies representing areas across the value chain, including pro AV, pro lighting, stage effects, Chinese and Western musical instruments and systems integration, alongside a network of more than 2,000 industry experts. As a co-organiser, CETA will bring its extensive industry expertise and nationwide network to Prolight + Sound Guangzhou.
Mr Gaowu Fu, Chairman of the China Entertainment Technology Association, stated: “This strategic alliance provides a strong foundation for the international development of our industry. As a national association, we are committed to advancing China’s cultural and tourism sectors. By combining our resources in lighting, audio, video and stage machinery with our nationwide network of experts, we aim to establish PLSG as a leading international showcase for Chinese innovation and manufacturing. Supported by favourable export policies, we will continue to advance the industry and help more Chinese brands reach international markets.”
CETA’s resources and industry standing will further strengthen PLSG’s industry profile. Its extensive network, comprising 11 branch offices and 29 representative offices across China, will also increase the show’s visibility across the country and reinforce its position as a leading global event for the pro AV and lighting sector.
A long-established exhibition organiser in the local market, STE is a UFI member with more than 20 years of experience, extensive industry connections and in-depth market expertise.
Mr Jingfeng Cai, Executive Director of Guangdong International Science and Technology Exhibition Co Ltd, commented: “More than two decades on, Prolight + Sound Guangzhou has grown into the world's largest and most influential annual event for the pro AV industry, drawing top global brands, distributors, contractors, and buyers each year. PLSG’s role extends across the industry, supporting technological exchange and international collaboration, helping to shape industry trends, and playing a vital role in advancing China’s pro AV sector and connecting it with the global market.”
For PLSG’s landmark 25th edition, the three partners will launch a series of new themed halls, including the Stage Machinery Brand Name Hall, as well as the Lighting and Multi Brand Name Hall, expanding the range of content and opportunities at the event.
Joint strategic agreement supports growth in the entertainment equipment market
At the press conference, Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, STE and CETA also signed a strategic cooperation agreement focused on expanding access between domestic and international markets. The agreement combines Messe Frankfurt’s worldwide sales network, which reaches some 180 countries and regions, with STE and CETA’s well-established resources and industry connections in China. Together, the three parties will help introduce leading overseas brands and advanced technologies to the Chinese market, while supporting Chinese companies as they expand internationally.
As one of the world’s leading trade fair organisers, Messe Frankfurt has an extensive international network connecting markets and industry resources worldwide.
