Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2020 postponed
To support the government’s efforts in controlling the novel coronavirus outbreak in China, the Prolight + Sound Guangzhou organisers have decided to postpone the 2020 fair, originally scheduled to be held on 19 – 22 February at Area A & B China Import & Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou. The new show dates will be further announced by the show's organisers Messe Frankfurt and Guangdong International Science & Technology Exhibition Company (STE).
Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2020 highlights digitalisation and the rising female force in the industry
The 2020 edition of Prolight + Sound Guangzhou (PLSG) is approaching rapidly. With six weeks to go until opening day, the organiser is ready to publish this year’s fringe programme. From 19 to 22 February, a well-designed string of events will appeal to both newcomers and experienced professionals. This combination of courses and workshops will reflect the show’s comprehensive approach to educating industry professionals. It will cover technical trainings and innovative topics on digitalisation, system integration and future technologies, next to a set of events that will focus on the female professionals creating impact in the current industry landscape. With the ‘Tech meets culture’ highlight, PLSG will underline the growing importance of synergy between the cultural and technical sectors in the entertainment industry. Visitors will be able to experience this synergy through a series of interactive, digital concepts in the new Digital Media Lab.
Prolight + Sound Guangzhou reveals 2020 roadmap at annual gala dinner
As a long-standing tradition and a token of gratitude, the night of 16 December was reserved for the Prolight + Sound Guangzhou (PLSG) annual gala dinner. About 600 exhibitors, supporting associations and media were cordially invited to the Westin Pazhou Hotel in Guangzhou to connect and enjoy the evening together. The organisers took the opportunity to announce the ground plan of the 16 halls and the highlights of this year’s fair, and also to go into detail about the ‘First International 3D Visual Lighting Competition’ that will take place during the show.
PLSG2020 highlights digital trends and extends product range
Dedicated to providing the global entertainment industry with invaluable opportunities for business networking and technology-oriented education, Prolight + Sound Guangzhou (PLSG) will take place from 19 to 22 February at Area A and B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex. Over 1,500 exhibitors will gather on the fairground to showcase an extended and versatile product range, covering audio, lighting, theatre and stage technology, AV media technology, communication and systems integration. Visitors will be able to source and discover products and technologies in 16 themed halls, while submerging themselves in innovative and creative AV concepts. With the introduction of the Digital Media Lab, PLSG recognises the importance of new formats in light, sound, visuals and art for audiences, and the need for a close collaboration between the cultural and technological players of the entertainment industry associated with that development.
Prolight + Sound Guangzhou continues to expand in scale, reflecting current market trends
To respond to the transformation in China’s growing entertainment market, towards digitisation and systematisation, the 2020 edition of Prolight + Sound Guangzhou (PLSG) will start off the year with an extension of the exhibition area and a new hall arrangement. The fair will contain more show content and an enhanced technological level in the entire product range. This year’s edition will also offer a more elaborate seminar programme to inspire participants and allow them to boost their knowledge about specific industry know-how. Spreading over 15 exhibition halls, PLSG will gather more than 1,500 exhibitors at Area A & B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou from 19 to 22 February 2020.
