Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2026 ends strong as domestic and international industry leaders pave the future with proven, real-world applications

Guangzhou, 15 June 2026. The 24th edition of Prolight + Sound Guangzhou (PLSG) came to a successful close on 31 May at Areas A and B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex. This year’s show once again reached a new record scale, covering 220,000 sqm across 22 thematic halls, and brought together 2,227 exhibitors from China and overseas. As the largest global trade fair for the entertainment, lighting, and pro AV industry, PLSG attracted 111,056 professional visitors. Global engagement continued to rise, with overseas attendees spanning over 100 countries and regions, increasing by approximately 5% year-on-year. In addition, more than 100 fringe events, forums, and seminars took place during the show period, sparking rich and diverse knowledge sharing.

Prolight + Sound Guangzhou (PLSG) 2025 upheld its legacy of creating opportunities for global industry players which concluded four days of sourcing and business connections on 30 May in Areas A, B, and D of the China Import and Export Fair Complex. The world’s largest entertainment and pro AV industry event housed 2,209 exhibitors across 210,000 sqm and 22 halls, with a comprehensive range of innovations on show for 110,363 visitors, including a 25% increase in overseas visitors. Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2025: world’s largest entertainment and pro AV industry event opens 27 May

Guangzhou, 26 May 2025. The 23rd edition of Prolight + Sound Guangzhou (PLSG), the largest in its history, opens its doors from 27 – 30 May 2025 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Areas A, B, and D. Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2024 reaffirms its position as world’s largest entertainment and pro AV industry event

Guangzhou, 12 June 2024. Breaking numerous records, Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2024 (PLSG) concluded on 26 May in Areas A and B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex. The 22nd edition saw an expanded exhibition area spanning 200,000 sqm (57.7% increase from 2023’s edition), encompassing 21 halls and Y-channel exhibition areas. 2,136 exhibitors from across the globe unveiled their latest innovations, representing a 52.2% growth. With overseas buyer numbers almost triple that of the previous edition, the show welcomed a total of 107,692 industry visitors. Over 100 enlightening concurrent events, forums and seminars were held during the fair, providing industry insiders with deep insights into the future development trends and innovative ideas.

Dimming the lights on 25 May, the 2023 edition of Prolight + Sound Guangzhou (PLSG) has illuminated a strong outlook for the global entertainment and pro AV industry, with a significant 61% increase in visitors reaching 85,046 – a new high. The four-day show also featured over 50 fringe events and showcased 1,403 exhibitors across 130,000 square meters of exhibition space, representing a 35% growth from the previous edition.

The first pro lighting and audio trade fair to return to business in China: Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2020 opens on 21 August

Prolight + Sound Guangzhou (PLSG), the only major international trade fair for the entertainment industry in 2020 kicks off for four days of business on 21 August at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. The organisers, Messe Frankfurt and the Guangdong International Science and Technology Exhibition Company, have put all of the necessary safety precautions in place to provide a safe and effective business platform for the industry. Participants will be able to reconnect with industry peers and explore sourcing and networking opportunities to help the industry reboot. 677 exhibitors will utilise 80,000 sqm across eight halls. The fair will also provide enhanced services including online participation to facilitate interactions between buyers and exhibitors. In recent months China has taken a range of steps to successfully curb the COVID-19 outbreak. In view of the improving domestic situation, the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government is encouraging the gradual resumption of business. Accordingly, the organisers of Prolight + Sound Guangzhou (PLSG) 2020 have announced new show dates. The previously postponed show will be held from 21 – 24 August 2020 in Areas A & B of the China Import & Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou.

To support the government’s efforts in controlling the novel coronavirus outbreak in China, the Prolight + Sound Guangzhou organisers have decided to postpone the 2020 fair, originally scheduled to be held on 19 – 22 February at Area A & B China Import & Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou. The new show dates will be further announced by the show's organisers Messe Frankfurt and Guangdong International Science & Technology Exhibition Company (STE).

As a long-standing tradition and a token of gratitude, the night of 16 December was reserved for the Prolight + Sound Guangzhou (PLSG) annual gala dinner. About 600 exhibitors, supporting associations and media were cordially invited to the Westin Pazhou Hotel in Guangzhou to connect and enjoy the evening together. The organisers took the opportunity to announce the ground plan of the 16 halls and the highlights of this year’s fair, and also to go into detail about the ‘First International 3D Visual Lighting Competition’ that will take place during the show.
