The growth of the cultural tourism technology sector in China is fuelled by an increasing demand for immersive experiences and innovative solutions. Technological advancements, including 5G networks, AI, and IoT, are driving a shift from traditional flat displays to flexible, transparent, holographic, and 3D technologies. These innovations are being implemented across not only cultural tourism, but also education, healthcare, entertainment, and advertising sectors, and are playing a crucial role in emerging areas such as smart homes, smart cities, cultural space creation, and leisure experiences.
Visual X is organised by the Shanghai Multimedia Industry Association, Messe Frankfurt, and Guangdong International Science and Technology Exhibition Co Ltd. Manufacturers, distributors, and providers who have confirmed their attendance including Diheng, Digital Vision, EVIS, Fengyuzhu, Golden Screen, Highcolor, Intlight, Lucent, Motion Magic, Nationvision, NF Intelligent, Samplex, Vcore, Welldone Electronics, Yuanmengtang, ZhenXiang, Zhonghong Shunxin, and more. The showcase will highlight applications in different fields, demonstrating their potential to redefine audience engagement and elevate overall experiences. Moreover, leading industry players will present on current trends and explore ways the products are enhancing engagement in cultural exchange, capitalising on China’s innovation push.
To align with the growth in advanced visual technology, such as digital art and immersive experiences, Visual X aims to unlock significant potential that is pushing the cultural tourism sector forward. This year, the show has partnered with Shanghai Fengyuzhu Culture Technology Co Ltd, a leading company in China’s digital culture industry, to unveil the VR showcase “Location-Based Entertainment: a journey through time to Yuanmingyuan”. Additionally, Shanghai Yuanmengtang Virtual Reality Information Technology Co Ltd will feature an engaging XR experience titled “Exploring the Secrets of the Sleeping Imperial Tombs”. Furthermore, Mr Guojun Qu, Director of the Cultural Tourism Lighting Committee, the China Illuminating Engineering Society, and a National Class-A Stage Art Designer will present the immersive performance "Peak Shock, Return from Journey to the West". These events vividly illustrate how digital technology is creating new opportunities in the cultural tourism industry. At Visual X, visitors can explore the latest technology at the intersection of cultural enhancement and digital innovation.
